I've almost said "thank you" to a cash machine quite a few times ?
I’ve done just that. With a queue behind me. I didn’t feel even remotely stupid.

I don't really use any voice-activated stuff so not really. The reverse is a little concerning though, think how many kids now are being brought up with these devices and get used to not saying please and thank you.

That’s because these machines have taken the place of people.
I have found I avoid talking to anyone now so these machines are our friends.
Sad really, as I will talk to anyone normally.
