Got to listen to his doctors, has done the right thing by pulling out early.
The last thing he would want is pity.
Would have been nice to see him but sometimes it's better to stand aside with dignity.

I said a long time ago he wouldn't play. His tumour type is an aggressive one and the damage done by it and the treatment will have been substantial. He is lucky to be still alive.

Have a framed poster of the famous fist-pump on the wall of my study! My favourite player of all-time - absolute legend! Shame that he's not well enough to be there - would've been the biggest cheer of the week when his name was announced. Let's hope that he wins his battle against his tumour.
There was a good interview in TG, he said he was only playing the champions 4 hole challenge anyway on the Wednesday. Shame I was really thinking of going with the wife to see he again.
Health has to come first and if he can't even make the journey then clearly he isn't capable of playing. A shame but the right choice and most golf fans would rather hold onto their memories of Seve in his pomp rather than a frail and broken man struggling around in pain and unable to play properly
