If its before the British Masters then play Formby as our course is naturally in protection mode right up until the tournament. So a-lot of work is still being done to bunkers, tees and we have a fairways protection scheme which is essentially hitting off mats off both the fairway and semi rough in designated areas (ie anywhere a pro may be).Not played either, so which one should I pick first, as only have time for one round
If its after the masters hard for me to give an unbiased view, do some research as they are different layouts; see which one suits your eye. You will enjoy either one which ever you choose to visit.

I played both over a weekend last year in September. I preffered Hillside but could see why others like Formby. Both excellent golf courses and you're blessed to have them on your doorstep
