I managed to get to a local muni's practice ground today, waterlogged to high heaven,with large amounts of standing water everywhere. It's the first time I've swung a club in anger since a week before Christmas and I was pants, rusty as hell, I don't think I hit 1 good shot in 5. Serious practice required before I go near a comp.

I share your pain. Was hitting the ball well for me on the 5th when I was last out at the range (so much so that I'd have played Smiffy for £20) but really struggled today. Hoping it was only a small timing issue and not quite turning correctly but we'll see what tomorrow brings

Actually I wouldn't have played him for 10p after this morning. As I said in todays blog the phrase "directionally challenged" sums it up

I went to the range with a 7 iron and driver for the first time in about a month last week, and was really pleased how I hit the ball.

Bloody cold though, only in a t-shirt and sweatshirt (unplanned visit in my lunch hour).

I hit about 10 full 7 irons, then 15 or 20 drives, and chipped the rest at the 60yd target with my 7 so I could get back into my nice warm car quicker!!
