So I played the medal last weekend and finished on 98, from being +6 through 9 and blowing up on 12,13 and 14 to ruin my round and miss out on a win. I played in another competition today and had a similar fate, not as dramatic this time.
+6 through 10, I then decided to start playing safely, which didn't go well! the wind started to get up and I decided a few times to try and layup, but the go on to scuff my shots into any available bushes. I didn't blow up as much as I had done the week before, but I started double bogeying, one 7 and an 8..... All in all finished on 93 NET 69.
I can happily say that although I messed up on the back 9 again there are alot of positives to take. I was holing a lot of long putts, and keeping 3 putting to a minimum. Tee shots were also on target and general play was good.
When I left the clubhouse I was 4th and I should get a small cut, and with Club Championships coming up Im hoping to keep my run going and stop blowing the back 9.
