Rules of golf

As we all know, there are 34 rules in the game of golf. However, sometimes they can be overly complicated so maybe it's a good time to re-write them and simplify them a bit. So, here are a few simple rules of golf that everyone should be aware of.

Rule #

1) Always hit your provisional ball first

2) Never leave a birdie/eagle putt short

3) When in the poo, always get the ball back in play with your next shot

4) If you have a shot over water that requires a career shot to make it and you go for it, you won't hit a career shot.

5) You will hit trial clubs from the Pro shop really well. As soon as you pay for them you'll never hit a decent shot with them again.


This is 5 that I'm aware of, need another 29 to complete the 2012 edition of the rule book.

thats because it reduces spin!

in a bounce game, hit a practice drive into a field, it will be your best drive of the month!

practice putting before your round is a surefire way to 3 putt the 1st green.

Waiting for the green to clear as "if I really catch this it might reach" will ensure you hit half your normal distance and probably take three shots instead of one to reach the green.

When you hack a ball into trouble make sure you take lots of attempts to get out.

When your opponent hits OOB make sure you do the same.
