We've not been told what's happening, but I'm not holding much hope really. Anyone remember the Millennium ? Place I worked at that time just used one of the other stat hols for that one.

Seems strange that so many places aren't making a decision yet to all intents and purposes it has already been decreed a public holiday. I'm sure if it was jubilee day etc we'd have it. We got one for Charles/Diana and Andy/Fergie so why not this one too

thats the problem with a lot of todays industries, piss poor attitude towards the working man. its been deemed a bank holiday, but a lot of bosses want to take us back to the dark ages. support your union, and if you are in a union, contact them if you are not happy.
