Royal ashdown views?

Smiffy it doesn't look like a lake as such, you pulling my plonker or is that it in normal playing conditions

That was the 18th fairway and green after a deluge one day. The 18th is a tough par 4 with a stream that runs across in front of you at the tee, runs down the left hand side of the fairway and then cuts across in front of you again about 40 yards short of the green.
It had lashed it down.
I'm hoping this link works...

Really terrible weather, some of the piccies have to be seen to be believed.
If you par the 18th by the way, I'll perform a Hywel/Homer on you
;)

Well smiffy no need to perform a hywel homer. A near perfect 3w off the tee left me down the left about 25 yards short of the left crossing on the f/way. When I got there I was blocked by the tree so had nonoption but to half punch an 8i down (which went to plan) and I was 15 yards short of the last stream that crosses in front if the green. A fat chip left me on the fringe and I was convinced my par way gone, practice putt, aim, putt to a pin that was middle right and the dam thing lipped leaving me a 6 inch gimme and a bloody good bogey, but no par and no hywel homer. So close but yet do far.

So what DID you think of the course?

It's about as punishing as spending three days with my mother in law but I thought it was a real good challenge. As I said to smiffy by pm my swing was poor all day so I hacked round to 94.

Got a lesson booked for Monday and them I'm back in 2 weeks for round 2. Holes that stood out were 10th 11th 14th 16th and man that 18th is great
