Well guys last week in the mid week open in my club i shot a 3 over gross which was the best round of my life i have had a level par front nine 2/3 times and once on the back nine. However should have been better the story is as follows...

was going down the 9th, 2 under par and the heaven's opened big time was praying for it not to come but anyways bogey that (9th) and 10th which was index 18 also the 11th..

Rain stopped so par'd 12-14 then had two men shouting "dave you find your ball" which made me miss the par putt on 15th..

16th Par 5 was side of the green in two and duffed a 10 yard chip into the sand ended up with a 6 :(

But attacked 17 and 18 to finish par par..

I was playing off 15.0 that day and am now cut to 12.3 however just wondering if you think it was a one off or not? not sure if i can do it again or not.. played at another club at the weekend and shot a 83 which worked out to be 12 over so i guess that's me playing off 12 ok but was out yesterday and shot 34 points not sure what that worked out at in gross but feel maybe i might find it hard to play to this level..

do any of you guys have any sound advise for me at this stage as i started golf 3/4 years ago and was playing off 25 lol..

thanks in advance

Hendy, It must be in the name I think !!!

I was the same joined my first club about 4 years ago and got my H/C by the end f the season, was 22 or something I think. joined a new club after the one I was at fell apart the folowing season, Last year went from 21 down to 16 and this year 16 to 12.8 so far. (pending sundays open being updated)

However I still feel I can go lower. I know I have the shots the only thing I need to remove is the odd mistakes that cost me dearly and work on my accuracy.
