I'm not sure it's the same as Caseys from a few years back but think roe was talking about it taking around 2 years to get back to feeling right for him. Hopefully with a good rest Mcilroy will come back stronger next year and get a bit of grit and determination back to win a few more big ones.

People forget this is how Seve played in the 70's and 80's and it caused his back to give in. Rory could potentially go the same way but there is more support out there for players now so hopefully he'll get fit and over time can find a swing to fit his body as it ages

Odd that being injured doesnt seem to have affected his long game, but seems to have killed his wedges and putting.

Or, he is just rubbish from 80 yards even when fit.

I doubt very much fitness has a real effect on his ability to nail a wedge, or putt.

Whilst i I don't think spending time in the gym is a bad thing, I do think time sorting all that power has seen him neglect what his game needs.

Short game sharpness.

it is a shame because "on form rory" is great to watch.
however i put £50 on rory not to win an event this year. at 50/1 thats £2.5k.

take you time rory, relax, take it slow, enjoy some piece and quiet, take the rest of the season off. 😁

Just got my winnings for this perfect bet! You snapped yours up yet?

I’d love to know the odds you would’ve got in 2008, just after the US Open, of Tiger never winning another major.

When does a bookie pay out for Tiger never winning another major? You'd have a wait on your hands! Odds would have made it more than worthwhile though!
