Rory

For some reason - because I don't think he looks like him - Rory apres haircut reminds me of Zammo. Probably just me though!

His mental state is worrying imo, one bad shot and he seems to crumble.
He seemed to have a bit of a spring in his step during the first few holes yesterday, but he looks like a broken man again today.
Does he really care that much anymore ? and are the painful expressions just embarrassment ?

I have a real nasty feeling, and I really hope I'm wrong, that Rory is going to Baker-Finch or Duval and just drop away despite the immense talent he has. His head seems all over the place, has no trust in his swing and seems to be very poorly advised and managed at the moment. He is young and talented and has a long career potentially ahead of him and hope this is just a small blip but I am concerned it is something much more

I don't care what's tweeted, but then I don't use twitter. However, surely the only reason people like Rory (or his team on his behalf) "tweet" is because there are hoards of people who follow him who expect him to be tweeting? Isn't that the whole point of twitter? By following someone, you create the monster, don't moan when he does want you want him to do (EDIT: This wasn't aimed at you Fader, more at the OP)

I like the edit hawkeye

Totally agree with you, the reason they tweet is because they've been followed yet those same followers then complain when something about a different topic gets tweeted.

Lets not right off the rest of his career just yet:rolleyes:

He's young, we all went thru 'blips' when we were young.....that's just part of life, learning from experiences.

I'm not a big Rory fan but he's far too talented not to bounce back stronger when his head all 'clicks into place'.

The world is full of some seriously talented and successful people who you would have written off in their early 20's.........
Not a sportsman but take Branson as an example, floating about with no real purpose in his 20's, he even went to prison!!!!! The rest is history.

I agree, we can't write off Rory on the basis of the fact he is inconsistent, what I would say is that at the moment he is not the complete player he could be, he has far too much preference for rain softened, long courses where calm conditions. Unless that changes he won't win the career slam in my opinion.

Just an idea from one of the lads in the bar and more than likely waaaaaaay off the mark. Could he just be very very clever and after realising his mistake, be playing his way to see if Nike dropping him?

After the fella said it, another of the lads commented on how he doesn't seem too bothered about his form and seems to be enjoying life outside of golf???

For someone struggling I think he has the most birdies this week bar Webb Simpson, bogeys are plentiful, he needs to cut them out.
I dont think he is looking out of Nike, more making them work so he gets to where he wants to be again as Nike has the image that he wants, not a sticker album like he used to be under Chubby who takes small and lots rather than one big contract, dont get me wrong, that may suit some, but a younger sporty superstar doesnt need all the baggage and appearances that it would demand.

Not a Rory fan by any means but have to hand it to him I thought he was done in this event and he has come back to be right in there. Don't think he will win it but certainly a bit of a turnaround

Don't discount it with the way everyone else is hacking it around.....

I don't understand people that say "not a Rory fan". What's not to like? He's a young lad with an exciting game, and more importantly hes a great guy (appears it in his interviews.)

Met him in person a few times and he was a big head with a nasty little temper to boot. That's why he is not my favourite, do not deny he has all the talent in the world not saying that at all. He does not appear to have a plan B though normally and does not seem to be able to grind out scores but he has proved me wrong in the PGA which he is in with a shout

Seriously? Take your rose tinted glasses off.........

Apart from all his attitude issues we all can't like the same people, what a boring place it would be.......
