Who does Aimpoint currently caddy for?
I have to say I am amazed that noone has suggested Aimpoint yet.
Who does Aimpoint currently caddy for?
Really surprised that I haven't seen an article on why Rory's putting isn't up scratch.
Maybe some of you lot who have watched him more closely than I have in recent time can tell me if there is any reoccurring themes to his missed putts.
Well hes changed virtually his entire kit & in some cases his swing and grip too trying to find winning form so maybe inevitable that the caddie would go at some point
Cant blame him for looking at all possible routes to fix the problem but if it doesn't work sooner or later he'll have to admit that he the only constant left

McIlroy is, imo, the best in the world, the perceived problem Phil, is the streakiness you describe, he has the ability to dominate or constantly be challenging for all the Majors. What problem ?
Golf is a game of ups and downs relying on form - McIlroy is known to be a streaky player , his career is littered with peaks and troughs. It wasn't that long ago he was winning the Fed Ex - don't see his swing being much different , he changed his kit because his manufacturer decided to stop making golf equipment- , he has spent time finding what he likes , he has also had to deal with an injury that hit at a time when he was in form. A couple of missed cuts and suddenly people talk as if he has this major problem - he had 6/7 bad holes at the Open but played superbly to get back into it and finish 4th.
The same talk was happening a couple years back - he then went on to win two majors. I have no doubt he will go on to win a good number more. Any problem he may have right now is just down to form which all golfers go through

Call it bad luck or list excuses, fact is, he was expected, due to his talent, to be consistent.
Maybe that's unfair by the media and the fans, but it can't be denied that no one thought he would have all the peaks and troughs you describe and what we would see is a career of peaks.
Hopefully now he is injury free and happy with his kit we will see the consistent free flowing Rory back to his best and dominating events.
He was 2nd in putts at The Open, top 10 for scrambling, he's not settled for whatever reason, but he isn't that far off.I disagree, out of the top 10 in the world he clearly has the worst short game from what I can see.
Off the tee, long game he's probably the best.
He's certainly not "finished" but there is something not quite clicking in his world right now. He fought back well at The Open but prior to that in Ireland and Scotland his head was down and he had the demeanor of someone who had thrown in the towel.
You might not think there's a problem but even without talking to him i'm pretty sure he thinks there's a problem
How long will he be streaky in the majors though, its obvious that's what his playing schedule is about
I'm sure he has more wins in him and probably Majors too but he wont want the run of no-major since 2014 to drag on, he might feel it could become a habit rather than a streak
I have been trying to look at Odds on McIlroy never winning another major but can't find anything anywhere. What odds do you think he should be?
