I think that just shows who is the better player. Nothing in the goal scoring charts this year, but when you look at the assists and how many passes are made, you can see who contributes the most to the team. I think being classed as one of the best players ever is not just about scoring lots but also contributing to the all round performance of the team.

Messi is competing for goals with Pedro & Alexis Sanchez............oooooooohhhhhhhhh, and Ronaldo is competing for goals with Higuain and Benzema whilst not playiing as a striker,....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Messi isn't playing as an out and out striker. Barcelona operate a strikerless system now Villa is out. Even when he's fit he often plays wide. Messi often operates deep and many of his goals start when he runs from 50 yards from goal.

Ronaldo plays much further foward than Messi.

Barca and Real play different formations/systems so you can't say where one plays based on what players they compete with for goals!
