Does anyone have one of those robotic vacuum cleaners ?

MIL has fallen and broken her shoulder socket, so HID was thinking of getting one for her (instead of her having to do the cleaning )

Ta.

We have one called Rufus.....can often be seen trundling around the place
I just have to remember to pick my feet up when he comes past...
Not perfect but great for day to day use.

We’ve got a Samsung. It’s decent.
BiL has a Eufy one that does hard floors and carpets and cleans itself. It’s very noisy and generally quite irritating, but they seem to have it going constantly.

I did a load of research on this about 12 months ago and ended up with the Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Pro which I got a good deal on via Amazon's Black Friday. It's excellent, has a little dock so it cleans its mops with hot water, it replaces the dirty water with clean and empties itself. I have it set so it comes out a couple of times a week, does the whole downstairs and I've not had to get the hoover out since. The only negative is that they all claim to have AI obstacle avoidance however you stick a sock down or have a trailing wire and you can guarantee that it'll suck it up and I then then a message to say the robot needs some help!!

Sounds like driverless cars!

You've not seen the Stepford Wives?

I've been in properties where the customer has one, they self dock and wander round at timed intervals.
I find them annoying, irritating and not very good...looking at where they go and what they pick up.

They’re bloody annoying. I wish I had a € for every time I’ve stubbed a toe on the damn thing. I’m convinced it’s possessed - probably the ex-mother in law.
