Right. Now I know if I want post a course record I need to assume I missed the cut, fly to Nice, have 2 hours sleep and rock up to the course. Seriously though goes to showno expectation relax and enjoy it and marvellous things will happen.

That score for me has put a massive spanner in the works regarding the petty comments by some of the field about the severity of the course. Lee,Paul and the others must feel like eating their words. A course record 62, goes to show what you can do if you leave the moaning in the locker room and play golf.

True but most of the negative comments have been about 18. That said RK birdied that one as well!

Chris Woods interview was interesting in that he thought that he and Danny Willett benefitted from a lack of negativity as they were first timers

A great story and a fantastic round. Is it just me, but it's always the "big names" who complain, especially when they are not on the top? Chris Wood hasnt moaned about the course and just got on with the game. It's the same course for evryone.

I think the problem is that it is always the bigger names that get asked their opinions and so if they say "I don't like it" and they aren't at the top it can make them sound like whingers. I think Wentworth will tear up the 18th green, make it larger and more receptive to a longer iron or wood and tempt the pors with a larger target. The chairman of the club said as much last night
