Ripped off on car[advice needed]

Good ish news today,i have won my case out of court.
They found in my favour,im not 100% sure, but im presuming
the dealer didnt reply to the case against him.
It is now going to the local court who i understand will send in the bailiffs.
I have been on google to see what happens next,im also going to presume
its not straight forward.
Has anyone got any experience with bailiffs, and what are my chances now of
getting my money back?
Thx

Sadly, I have used bailiffs from time to time and find them a pretty useless bunch. You pay them to attend and so there is less incentive to seize goods etc as they have thier fees first. It will pay to try them, but there are a number of other things you can do but they depend on who the judgement is against ie limited company or a personal individual.

Chris, isnt it the local court that issues the baliffs.
Its against a LTD company, however he is a one man band.
Wont the balliffs just go in and take goods to cover their costs and our claim.
Basically take a car.
I understand their are things he can also do to stall, but is that not just
slowing down the inevitable?

The baliffs are just contracted and, yes the Court instructs them. If the guy is a rogue trader he may claim that he owns nothing at the site or that everything is in hock to the bank etc etc so its not always so simple. They are also not entitled to take the "tools of trade" which, for a garage, may include his stock, tools etc.

If you PM me with their exact name I will see if I can do a search on my debt collectors web site to see if I can find anything about them that might help.
