RIP Seagull

I hit and sadly killed a large duck once when playing cricket, only good shot I hit all day.

Even made the local paper, (OK was the inside back page) but said "Local batsman hits a quick 20 and scores a duck"

Funny thing was I only scored 12!! and took a lifetime to get them.

Not hit anything whilst playing golf, (including the Greens), although have wanted to strangle Imurg a few times.

However whilst a lad, was out fishing and was ledgering bread on the bottom hoping for some Chub, when this Mallard Duck dives down and nicks the bread, felt the hook and started to escape.

It took off and I had this duck flying in ever decreasing circles over my head as I was winding him in,

caught him, un-hooked him and off he went,

Almost clobbered an Osprey on the Osprey course, ball landed on the green bounced about 2m, and clipped an Osprey on the wing, didn't do it any harm. I'm sure it gave me a filthy look though.

It was sitting at the side of the green and set off just as I struck my wedge just about scored a birdie!

ps gulls are vermin, and if you could kill an Aberdeen gull with a golf ball I'd be impressed they are freaking huge...... I think if I had at it with a 9 iron I'd be struggling to kill one, let alone killing it with a golf ball!

Never hit an animal on the course, but nealy ploughed into two deer driving to the course in the fog this morning.
