RIP Meadowlark Lemon

Remember the cartoon series very well, and saw the Globetrotters at Wembley ( think it was the Empire Pool)

Another boyhood hero gone

It's Armageddon:(

Got a feeling it's only us old un's that will fondly remember the globe trotters. Cannot believe that after watching the same drivel every Christmas on telly they cannot put more feel good programmes on starting with the HGT.

rip meadlowlark

They use to be on telly once a year when they came and played at the Empire Pool and star of the show was always Meadowlark Lemon.

Another boyhood hero gone now. :(

My 10 year old son loves the globetrotters, he has a team vest and a signed ball from seeing them last year.... he does like basketball in general though and we often go to the Sheffield Sharks home games..

I still remember watching them on "World of sport", who always brought unusual and unpopular sports to our screens like cliff-diving from Hawaii.

The Globetrotters were fantastic though.

Channel 4 trumped them with "Kabbadi" though - a team form of "tick".
