Wife and I have been treated to 4 days in Berlin staying at the Ameron Hotel Spreebogen, anyone recommend a good restaurant nearby.

Got to say that Berlin is one of my fave City's. Just loved it and thought it was a cheap place to stay. We had afternoon tea in Einsteins which is very very good. If you get chance jump on a train down to Potsdam, then do the bus tour. It's gorgeous down there.

23 mins by train. Straight put of the station onto the busss that do the circular tour of the Potsdam park etc. We loved it. We went for the new year a couple of years ago.

Without boring you to much, a girl I used to work with at the pit. Her father who is German, was a POW during the war. It was her that told me about Potsdam. Would love to go there during the summer months.

There is (or was) an Irish pub right opposite the Bavarian place I mentioned. Guinness chasers.
