Anyone tried the Grainger's wash and repel ?

Most technical 'proofing' fabrics are best and most simply cleaned in the washing machine using a non-bio detergent, no fabric softener (this is a big destroyer of waterproof and breathable membranes as it clogs up the pores), and then dried with a combination of air and/or in the tumble drier.
Products like Graingers etc are (expensive?) soaps and water repellents which give a visual impression of water beading off of the fabric. IMO the key is tumble drying which reactivates the (any residual) waterproof/repellent coating. If you don't have a tumble drier, use an iron on a low setting.
I have been cleaning and reviving ski wear using these techniques and it works a treat.

I wash them in liquid soap and then use NikWax TX direct
Re tumble drying - read the manufacturers instructions not all can be tumble dried and check for 'untaped ' seams. I ruined one jacket by not doing so.

Nikwax tech wash followed by their tx direct (see below)

Have used Graingers a number of times and find it works well. I don’t have a tumble dryer to activate it but use a hairdryer whilst it’s hanging.

Once dry how long do you tumble dry for .

I dont tumble dry mine after reproofing, just let them air dry. Works fine.
