Anyone any experience of doing this, especially with a Shotsaver SG255X GPS watch? Is it even possible?

Mine is taking longer and longer to charge, and I'm barely getting 18 holes out of it; it often resets on first load of my home course, and I need to re-search and re-load the course before play. Snooper, the company who made the Shotsaver series, no longer supports its golf equipment.

It is 2 years old now... I'm probably better buying a new one, but thought I'd ask first just in case anyone had had success in doing this.

If you can open it there should be no problem with the physical replacement.

It will probably reset which means there's a chance the all the settings will need to be reloaded
