I've got a silver button from my old RAF uniform with the RAF wings on it which I use as a ball marker. Each time I mark my ball it acts as a reminder of the sacrifices that have been made.
The two minutes silence was observed in college today, was expecting, at least, some fidgeting and whispering. My current group of construction students are not what you'd call respectful at the best of times, but bless em they were as good as gold. Nice to see.
Since the site tannoy system was pulled it is not so easy to orchestrate. This year was much better though, and it was nice to see that some foreign (asian) visitors had been briefed and joined in.
I did notice that Brown couldn't manage to bend his head at the Cenotaph.
