Spot on Imurg. And how often does a manager make a comment like "well we've had so many go against us this year" or "I didn't see it" when something monstrous goes for them for once?
Thanks for your oh so mature insight.
I am sure someone challenged me earlier in the season when I said Newcastle would struggle. In fact I am sure I was told I was a knob then and that I knew nothing and the Toon would be top 8........
Anyone who thinks it's easy should try it. Althoug
True. Listening to 5 live last night in relation to the tackle by the Wigan player. According to the Newcastle manager it was just about an attempted murder. And according to the Wigan manager who did not see it (of course not), he is a lovely lad without a nasty bone in his body. And Martinez is actually one of the better managers. Then on 6-0-6 you have the fans saying much the same thing.
So when you have two such differing interpretations of the same incident depending on which team you support or manage, then what chance have the refs got?
You were a knob then and you're still a knob now. Some things never change.
I ran the line at a match once and that was bad enough. Seemingly I was making flag signals like a sailor on speed.
Anyone see Leigh Griffiths 'goal' for Hibs last week.
A yard over the line and not given....from the sad Jambo!!
Well Played St Mirren btw.
He's never been the least controversial of chairmen though has he? It's his opinion, but not that of every other Latics fan I've spoken to. It was rash and clumsy, but I don't think it was intentional. He mistimed the challenge. The reaction from certain quarters has been disappointing though. The lads had death threats already and the media are treating him like a criminal. I doubt that the reaction would have been the same if it was a player from one if the BIG clubs.
Mr Whelan is rather cannily distracting the current level of attention that Callum is getting from disgruntled fans and media whores. Whether or not it's the worst this season is debatable, but whether it deserves some of the attentions it's getting is not.Lot of time for Whelan normally but not sure where he's looking on this one. Without doubt the worst tackle I have seen this season. Not sure it would have mattered what club they were from on this one as it was that bad, lucky the lads leg did not snap in half. It was a rush of blood to the head and it has cost him dearly.
