Hi,

just wondering if anyone can recommend a pay and play course in the Bucks/Berks area. We've played Farnham Pk, Huntswood and Wycombe Heights, just wondering if anyone could recommend another course in the area?

Thanks!

Wexham Park is alright. One 18 Hole course and Two nine hole courses.

Huntswood Golf Course, use to be a 9 Hole course but have made it 18 in the last couple of years. Lots of Par 3's and small Par 4's.

Bird Hills and Blue Mountain are another couple close by which are very good for price. Blue Mountain have a £10 Early bird offer before 8, well they did last year.

Where abouts are you Tibs?

Not keen on Stokley, you get panoramic views of West Drayton. Not good. Also the greens have always been terrible.

Ritchings Park is ok, once you get past the first 4 holes. A bit noisy though, and I don't like the hole where there is a tree in the middle of the fairway, straight in front of you. Never worked out how you are supposed to get around/over it.

Interesting views on Stockley Park. I agree, the surrounding area doesn't look too good but I've found the greens to be acceptable. I also think it's a cracking layout, in particular holes 10-15 - but you must play from the white tees. Wexham is good.

I don't work in West Drayton any more, but I used to, and the last thing I want to see when playing golf is the factory. Hence Stockley is a definate no.

Don't get me wrong, there are some interesting holes on all the courses and it is usually the shorter ones that cause the most problems (well for me anyway). I just think it gets very wet in the winter and I know that they have been having real trouble with the greens. On top of that there are some real idiots on the courses during the summer and it just takes the fun out of it.
