Hi all

We are looking for golfers who feel like they would reduce their handicap if they improved their wedge play. If you play off a handicap of 16 or less and feel like your game from 100 yards and in needs improving then we want to hear from you. You must be available on May 16th and able to make your own way to a golf course in Surrey.

The selected two applicants will take part in a unique Golf Monthly feature. They will receive wedge and ball fittings from a Titleist expert before being given tips and advice from European Tour player and renowned short game expert Bret Rumford. They will also be sent a set of Vokey wedges and a dozen of the balls you were fitted for. The event will take place at one of the most exclusive courses in the country and will feature in the magazine later in the year.

If you are interested in taking part please send the following information to paul_o'hagan@ipcmedia.com

Pretty sure a previous fitting by Titliest through the mag specified a H/cap of 16 or less. They seem to be the only manufacturer to specify this requirement.

Why is this? Do they feel anyone above this h/cap should really not be using their gear?

Just curious.

It’s a bit too far for me anyway and feel that I have had my share of these events recently

is it because this is a roughish handicap where consistency is almost there, im not saying its the same for everyone, but i miss a few greens in GIR, and struggle with up and down saves as do most of my playing partners around the same hc

I have always felt that, traditionally, Titleist have focused on the Lower Handicap golfer whilst using the Cobra brand to cater for everyone else. With the sale of Cobra, however, they seem to be making a few steps towards prodcuing clubs for the higher handicap market.

Have sent details, but as i already use Vokey Wedges don't hold out much hope. Mind you i am useless with them. :(

Just spotted it is the 16 May. I'm free !!!

I'd definitely go down if it wasn't for the fact I play off 24 !! My problem is off the tee so if they ever do one with drivers and over 16 handicaps include me in. I could easily wip 8 shots off my game if I tamed the driver.
