I just wondered how long you would expect before you need to have the grips replaced.

I bought my driver 12 months ago and have had to have it re-gripped today.

Re grip my clubs every year normally around march time.

All depends on how often you play

Blimey - not that often! My irons are 2 years old and not yet replaced the grips. Did look at them today as it crossed my mind and they look and feel fine but now I'm wondering!

I regrip once a year. Just so that they are as good as can be each year. I regrip my self so it really only costs £20-30 for a full set depending on the grip i go for so its less than £1 a week so its worth it.

I play about 25 times a year and I've had my irons for 3 years and I don't believe they need re-gripping. Look fine to me.

I've had my irons for eleven years and have only changed the grips once because they were perished. I use full cord and they seem to last for ever.

I practice 2-3 times a week and play once or twice.

I re-grip mine just before the season starts.

I resist doing it at seasons end as I don't want to get them crudded up with mud through the winter months.

Nice fresh grips for the start of the season

Sounds a good idea for me to plan a re-grip in the Spring then :-)

Yes if you are going to re grip then wait until the winter Is finished

Grips might look and even feel ok but the rubber is breaking down all the time due to exposure to grease and dirt from your hands.
I'm quite easy on grips and frequently don't get a chance to change them but Gareth's plan is the best wag to go.
A new set of grips really do make old clubs feel like new..

I tend to do it every year. Plenty of golf in that time and serious amounts of range and practice ground work. I clean them every two weeks and so they would last longer than a year but I just like start every season with a fresh set. Personal preference (and perhaps vanity) is all it is

The lightweight thin grip on your driver won't of helped durability, I would of thought every 12 months for pretty regular use isn't unreasonable.
