Still impressive - I wonder if the other 5,000 have gone to watch cheaper football across the river.![]()
All down to cost mate, my last season ticket at Celtic park was £570. The product is not worth it.

It's almost not for the working man anymore, its getting far too much.
Simple choice for me, a season book or golf subs - the golf is much better value
I'm quite lucky in that I can afford both, although I've stopped the away matches this season, as away matches are just getting silly now.
Again. I sum it up as Villa away (for the 20th time) or play West lancs and still have £20 in change. The golf is winning out at the mo.
I just don't see it as value for money any more, I attend the odd game for a quick fix now and again and generally leave feeling totally underwhelmed. Football fans are just being taken for mugs at a lot of clubs.
The Scottish 3rd division clubs will have had a great season financially and yet, despite being warned not to do it by the SFA, a number have sought to rip off Rangers fans by raising their prices - not forgetting that they all get visited twice. Queens Parks normal price is £12, for the visit of 30,000 bears they raised the price to £19 (their average attendance in a normal season is 500+).
Elgin City decided to take it even further and sell more tickets than their stadium could actually hold, happily putting fan safety at risk for the sake of a quick buck.
For both reasons, Elgin city should have been fined, for not only ripping off, but especially putting fans in danger.
They were, 25k

Stevie, same for me as well. When I was younger it used to be the medal on a Saturday morning and football in the afternoon, home and away. just can't afford that any more, in terms of cost and family time .Simple choice for me, a season book or golf subs - the golf is much better value

It is called supply and demand.
Same way as my club raised prices for Juve game.It still sold out, good business practice.
Don't be so sure!![]()

It should have been whatver double the rip off was.
How's Gleddoch house BTW - just seen it in your details. I used to stay there when visiting customers in Glasgow. Lovely food, great hotel, cracking course, although I never played it when the greens were "top notch".
One example is a club charging its fans more for a game in the premier club competition in Europe, a more prestigious competition than games they normally watch.
The other is a club ripping off visiting fans from one club, in the same competition where it charges visiting fans from other clubs considerably less.
Can you see the difference?
At your golf club are visitors green fees means tested?
Suppose you are right, watching your lot isn't a prestigious event but just the normal turgid stuff that is usually served up.
And to think ra people keep telling us of how special their club is eh?
thousands of your season ticket holders can't even be bothered turning up. But in true Liewell fashion he deflects from this by quoting season ticket holder numbers as the attendance figure whether they go our not. Unfortunately Lennon made this fact public at the weekend and qualified it by stating that at least Celtic had the fans money. The inflated attendance figures have been common knowledge all season due to the amount of FOI requests that have been sent to Strathclydes finest.
Absolutely booming
