hi to you all im a new member this is my first post just wanted some opinions about range balls would you hit them the same distance as a normal golf ball eg titlest or callaway just started playing after a long lay off but dont seem to be hitting it the same distance as b4 thanks 4 any replies

NO....no....no chance!

Off mid irons, they're not so bad, off woods forget it.

I suppose some ranges have high quality balls but I haven't been to one in ages.

Welcome along to the best forum on't web. I only really use the range if I buy a new driver as finding a practice area long enough seems to be a problem (not to mention picking up all of the balls)
I wouldn't worry about the distance though, as you get back into the game your swing will get grooved again and the distance will return.

Range balls tend to be a one (two piece if you are somewhere posh) and are designed not to fly as far as normal balls (range length constraints). My range has some decent Srixon range balls (great condition) and I reckon I hit them about 85-90% of the distance of a normal shot
