Fill in all the bunkers....problem solved and wouldn't hurt my feelings. Put in humpty-bumps instead.....all you have to do is mow them..
I've played courses with no bunkers, they are just have tough

More to the point, do people actually know how to rake bunkers properly? My club recently filmed a video and sent it to all members showing them how to do it properly.

Funnily enough, I was discussing this with a professional today. He plays in a lot of regional pro comps (very successfully); he said rakes in bunkers is the one piece of course etiquette which annoys him more than anything else. His view is they should always be a good distance away from bunkers to reduce the likelihood of them adversely impacting a shot.

Maybe fine if you have a caddy, from pace of play and practicality for general play they need to be very close or in bunkers.

Judging by the state of some of our bunkers the rake needs to be within 2 inches of where the player is to stand any chance of being used...God only knows what they'd be like if we had to walk a few yards to get o e....

The OP already started a thread on this 6 months ago, with 5 pages of replies. Are you expecting to get new and original points of view on this new thread? Or do you feel it's important to keep in touch with the latest developments in raking philosophies and technology?

It was asked again for new people but also for evidence for the podcast

Everything has been posted before but new people come alone with new opinions so thanks for your input but I don’t care about your post.

Not even the 'welcome' bit? How rude!

(btw you already said you didn't like/agree with it 7 months ago but thanks for the reminder, I will look forward to your reply in about Jan 26 (y))
