I actually bought The Power Of The Dog before I went to Mexico in Feb (thanks HK), I still have a couple of pages left and it's absolutely brilliant.
If you've seen Narcos Mexico it's very similar but with different names, in a way I'm glad I watched the TV series first as this gives much more of a background to other peripheral characters.

Agree with this 100% . Thi is actually a trilogy , read them in the right order , long books but brilliant

The bit where The Douglas is peed off because he has to kill the French rebels before the French King allows him a go at the English invading army.
Enjoyable read.
