Would probably do so the same if that was the choice...... however we live in a 'democracy' where we don't get that chance. Sadly seems to suit the serfs & many conditioned ex-service folk.:oops:

You still tilting at windmills Dave? Don't forget to keep your (imaginary) bonfires burning...:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: pip-pip old boy

To be perfectly honest I am way more concerned about the likes of Branson... Trousered billions of taxpayers money whilst doing everything within his power to not contribute back... Now he's first in line with the begging bowl out ?...

I'm surprised the church isn't on the scrounge, they must be down £1000s from the collection plate.
It's not as if they've got billions lying around doing nothing

Thought the look back to her first ever radio broadcast - ostensibly to evacuated children in 1940 - was on the money.

I reflected what it must have been like back then for the mother especially. Dad is in distant parts overseas fighting for his country and it's freedom - mum every day dreading the knock on the door - and the children evacuated to distant parts at home to stay with complete strangers...just reflect on how dreadfully difficult and upsetting that must have been for all. Stiff upper lip? Maybe...but more than likely maybe not.
