PW: Match your irons or match your wedges

Interested to hear your thoughts guys. Pitching, chipping, bunkers I always feel more comfortable and confident with a specialist wedge in my hands rather than the wedge that comes with my iron set. As my irons are game improvers they are great for inspiring confidence when hitting a full shot but on partial swings and delicate shots you just don't have the same feeling that they are going to nip the ball off the surface.

So my question is how many of you prefer playing 3/4 - 9 iron and then specialist wedges?

Every time, stop at the 9 iron & add wedges with preferred lofts/bounce, I have 4 wedges but usually only carry 3

3-pw all matching and 56* vokey as my sw, I only carry two wedges and adjust the face like a pro eh Bob

Standard issue PW and SW that came with the set of Ping Eye 2s. Lofts are 51* and 57*

My short game is awful :rofl:

No, the only reason I might change them is as they are wearing out after 20 years' service..
