Putter paint fill

I’ve a putter for which I wish to remove the original paint-fill. How does one go about doing it? Cotton wool and nail polish remover?

I’m assuming this won’t damage the metal at all?

nitromors might be better, although nail polish is probably easier to get hold of at home. yes, how you describe will be fine. and no, it wont damage the metal if its a raw finish.

Yeah raid your missus nail kit, and sewing basket, you'll need a needle to pick out the stubborn paint that hide in the corners. Plenty of cotton buds too, the polish remover will also clean up excess paint as well
And above all, patience.

hi,
I used polycell paint stripper on all of my clubs then cleaned off any residue with nail varnish remover and hot water.
you will also need a needle of some sort and maybe a nylon bristled brush to get into the corners.
as for paint use either nail varnish (I live with 3 women so am spoilt for choice) or Tamiya model paint.
at the moment my irons are light green and I am in the process of repainting my Scotty Cameron putter

Thanks fella, I'm looking to strip the paint out and leave it 'raw' for now. Will acetone or nail varnish remover also work on a rubber grip, or would that eat the rubber?

I would think that the acetone will damage the rubber grip but I am not sure. if the grips need cleaning just use warm soapy water and brillo pad type thing.
