project x shafts

i recently bought a second hand set of irons, these are fitted with project x 6.0 shafts, the sticker is on the front of the shaft not the normal underside,can these shafts be fitted differently, someone told me they can be fitted for distance or accuracy, is this the truth or are they having a laugh?

Stickers can be on either side, make no difference other than some players dont like the distraction of labels in their field of view when looking at the ball.

The shaft can't be fitted for accuracy or distance by turning it round, if you wanted accuracy over distance you'd perhaps get the shaft shortened professionally or better still by simply choking down the grip a bit.
