Professional Golf 2024 & 2025

The PIF and LIV are quite clear they want to develop golf globally. The DPWT have some of the core of that structure with the events/courses they already play.

I've probably said this before but the DPWT has got a great opportunity here as long as they are able to stand firm against the PGAT and see the possibilities that are opening up.

The link with PGAT has recently extended so can’t see that changing

The ET has been the main global tour for the last ten years when they linked up with other tours

ET playing smart by keeping the PGAT on side whilst also finding a way to encourage all golfers to play in their events

It does feel like the PGAT have been pulling the DPWT strings for some time though, and that should not be the case. There's absolutely no reason why all the tours can't work together for their own mutual benefit and create strong schedules with less events but with really solid fields. Torey Pines this week is a great case in point. Jon Rahm would love to be there, he's on record as saying it's one of his favourite events - and lets face it, it's not the strongest field, so who is benefitting from Rahm not being allowed to play?

It would be great if they could let LIV golfers play on the pga... But no one can play on LIV unless they are LIV golfers. Let's fece it, it's it ain't gonna happen though.. The Pga would shoot themselves in the foot if they allowed it, unfortunately. Am glad that the DP seems to be more flexible with it now though..

Callum Hills Aimpoint Routine is Brutal...
He's worse on the tee......
I started watching when the last group reached 17. Looked at the leader board, wanted Hill to win as a Brit (Scot). By the time he finally took his tee shot on 18, how many times did he pull back and start again, I was firmly in the Schott camp. Truly painful.

Contrast the two, Hill was frozen by his routine, Schott was done and dusted in seconds.

I absolutely wouldn't wish that ending on any golfer so hopefully he isn't too scarred by that. Surely needs to look again at his routine though 😵‍💫😴

Hope they got that right re conceding in stroke play. If not, I’ve had an awful thought.
If he wasn’t allowed to concede, has Hill had a DNF. And if so, what does that mean?
For clarity, I think and hope it should be that he could concede ( pointless going on) .
But I always understood you could only concede in matchplay.
Has it ever happened before?

They completed 72 holes so as far as the tournament goes they've finished..
The playoff is, effectively, Matchplay so in a a situation like this..Scott had 3 or 4 putts from 10 feet...there's no point in going on.

On the " scarring" bit...Larrazabal, who lost in the playoff last year, says he's still not over it and it preys on his mind...and he's a seasoned Pro...
This could harm Hill for some time...hope not.

It’s also bogeying the 72nd compounds the issue
