Professional Golf 2024 & 2025

Been a weird watch. Was good seeing the young kid try to break 60, but when they mentioned the cut line after the 3rd round will be -12 it made me switch off as it’s just not really that entertaining. One of the reasons I prefer the DPWT is at least it’s a little varied or even better the ladies golf as distance is more relatable.

Who’s this young teenage lad Blades Brown 18yrs old, played Korn Ferry last week only finishing his final round Wednesday. Tees it up literally the next day on the PGA tour with no practice rounds. Currently only 2 shots off the lead and is -10 thru 13 holes for his round today alone 😮.

He was the number 1 ranked US junior a couple of years ago. He decided to turn professional at age 17 rather than go down the usual college route that boys like Miles Russell and Mason Howell are pursuing. Apparently he finished his last school exam just before flying to the Bahamas for the Korn Ferry event. Oh to be young again 🙂

These type of PGA Tour Dart Fests are exactly what Brian Rollap is going to get rid of.
Just got bored watching it and turned it off.

The reason we love watching majors is that there is some elements of struggle.

PGA Tour events like Bay Hill where the rough is penal and Riveria where the greens are tiny offer this.

For me a winning score in a professional event should be somewhere between -8 and -12.

They have got it pretty right in dubai this week with rock hard greens proving a real challenge and rough heavy enough that makes it hard for approach shots to stay on them.
