Professional Golf 2024 & 2025

Tommy is a very relaxed guy and at times maybe a little too relaxed but this one looked like it hurt a little bit more

But he has proven himself many times and been there in clutch moments and will be there again

Class bloke

Bradley - well we all know about Bradley , slow slow slow

To me the missed putt on 14 cost him the win. It was easier than 18 - and with less pressure. If he makes that (when Bradley getss a very poor bogey) then he's out of sight and the others would have to go for hero-shots into every hole from 15-17 - when you inevitably miss at least one.
Agreed, the missed putt on 14 was massive. The last 3 holes looked like he'd aged 10 years. The indecision on his approach to 18 lost him the win.
It wasn't a case of Tommy giving it to Bradley but the massive putt on the 15th or 16th I thought here we go, oh no! Not keen on Bradley. But his approach to the 18th was sublime and the winning shot, and making the putt to win impressive,he wasn't gonna miss that!
Rock on Tommy.😄

Anyone else hoping that Bradley makes the Ryder Cup team as a player and then these two face each other in a match now? Would add some extra frisson…

Do you think anyone has told Bradley yet that he didn't win the Ryder cup last night? The bug eyed look, the chest bumping 😳, he might not turn up in September, he thinks he won it yesterday.

He’s just not a likeable individual, is he? Never warmed to him at all. I still recall his obnoxious behaviour when he partnered Mickelson in the Ryder Cup a few years ago. Didn’t like him then, and nothing has changed.

And from a purely golfing perspective he’s extremely difficult to watch.

Yeah 2012 - was quite amusing seeing him sit there after they lost

Gutted for Fleetwood - but it just seems that he is a bit too much of the nice guy that everyone says about him.

He doesn't seem to respond well when someone starts to hunt him down.

Two massive putts to reign him back messed his head up imo.

He was saying in the interview at the end that he needs to practice more - putting in particular perhaps.

I think he needs to be getting the likes of Bob Rotella between his ears more than that.
100%. I know it well because I've been the same lately! So much easier to play well when you're the one who's doing the chasing. Once you're in the lead, and playing well, it's a different kind of pressure, and easy to crumble. That does seem to have been Tommy's problem throughout his career - very few strike the ball better than him, and you'd think he should have won a lot more.

By the time the Ryder Cup comes, yesterday's win will be a distant memory. I don't think those two having a match up would be any more interesting that any other game, and Fleetwood isn't the type to get pumped up about it anyway.

But, I do hope Bradley plays in the Ryder Cup, plays 5 matches and loses 5 games. That would be funny.

One thing not mentioned re Bradley and Fleetwood.Bradley has worked with Bob rotella who he gives a lot of credit to for his mental strength and winning. He has won Majors and PGA titles. There’s probably not a lot between Fleetwood and Bradley in golfing terms. But Fleetwood may be missing that bit of mental strength that helps him get over the line when it really counts.

Just seen ex rabbits post When i posted this 👍

I think another way of looking at it as well is if the boot was on the other foot, could Fleetwood of closed down Bradley. I seriously doubt it. As much as Bradley might not be everyone’s cuppa tea. Massive credit has to be given to him for taking the opportunity given to him.
Re Fleetwood. He must of known before the first tee on Sunday the pressure he. Hold be under and not just from Bradley.
He needs a good golfing shrink.

Maybe he needs a better caddie :)

I thought Fleetwood’s interview was class. Said he was “angry, and gutted” and I believe him. But came across calm, composed and measured. And polite, yet knows what he needs to work on

A good line about the ‘failure’ would be in letting this be a negative influence on his golfing future, rather than being proud of his 4 days play that put him in a winning position.

Don’t really care too much about pro golfers but Tommy is clearly one of the good guys you may meet in life, and I’m not really a fan of the tub-thumping histrionics when players win whoever does it….(but from what I’ve read and seen from Bradley, I’m not a fan of his)

Edit: I empathise for any golfer whose putting let’s them down 😢

Have never been a fan of words like Bottler and choker etc because for any professional sportsman to get to the level they have done they have shown a lot of bottle over the years

At times a golfer will just be caught in two minds and make the wrong choice which has a knock on affect - that’s ultimately what happened - he made the wrong choice on his second shot and that cost him

But I have a feeling he is going to win there soon enough

He is a world class golfer and he is going to be a big player in the Ryder Cup again

Fleetwood is a top level golfer from tee to green but his putting just simply isn't of the required standard. Until that improves he will be a nearly man.

From where Tommy was on the 18th after his drive, he really followed it up with 3 quite poor shots. It was a great opportunity but hopefully there'll be others - as others have said, he is a class act.

gutted for him but you could just see the weight on his shoulders.
Bad mistake overclubbing on the par 3

Hits a great drive but then as soon as he hit that short and keegan stiffed his I knew it was game over, especially when Henley chipped in to get the crowd going.
