Same as last year - more of an Asian Tour event

Clearly not. Was the Hanan covered last yearSKY appear not to be broadcasting this week's DP World Tour event.
Asian Tour is in Macau, maybe you meant China Tour.Same as last year - more of an Asian Tour event
Although there was coverage of the China Open last weekAsian Tour is in Macau, maybe you meant China Tour.
DPWT are giving out R2DR and RC points, so it seems a full DPWT event to me.
Maybe the logistics/costs just didn't stack up.

Does seem strange when China Open was shown. You'd have thought DP productions would have kept the infrastructure in China for it.It's a new tournament for this season.
It's not an Asian Tour event at all.
There is a gap after as well before they hit EuropeOnly one player in the top OWGR 100 is playing, so just a minor event really.
Reflects the sad reality of Keith Pelley's tenure - most regular DPWT events are now minor events with similar owgr ratings to the KFT.Only one player in the top OWGR 100 is playing, so just a minor event really.
Agreed although as I said strange if the production teams were covering last week why they wouldn't cover this especially with a highlights show on Monday. To be fair there is a gap and the European swing starts in two weeks time followed by the USPGA Championship so I guess those not elgible for the PGA tour are having time offReflects the sad reality of Keith Pelley's tenure - most regular DPWT events are now minor events with similar owgr ratings to the KFT.

Really?Been that way since all the players left to go to the PGAT in the 00’s
Simply not true. Let's leave the rewriting of history to the PGAT, shall we?Been that way since all the players left to go to the PGAT in the 00’s

That's a different question, but you wouldn't have to go back anything like that far. When was it you think the ET was last “strong” - you have to go back to the 90’s
Always had a lot of support well on the DP tour until recently with the top players gettign PGA access. Even now there is a strength in depth and with PGA cards on the line it gives those on the DP tour a huge goal toaim for. How long ago was it Fleetwood and others were regulars. Anyway, it's one thing naturally losing the top dozen or so players to the PGA Tour (and allowing them to get away with only play a very small number of big events) but it's quite another to send the next best 10 to join them every year and decimate the top end of the regular tour events.
