Unless they play a lot more events on the DP Tour I don’t expect him or the others to qualify unless they win a major

It does ask a number of questions
Does this mean they aren’t going to get any points from LIV events ( ranking points )
Do they think they aren’t playing enough golf and the gap until the next event is too big

LIV dropped the application for ranking points ages ago - not sure why anybody would still be discussing that - if LIV players are going to qualify for Majors, it will be through a "top ten from LIV" ruling or something similar.
When LIV was formed it was always intended to fit in around other events - this is well documented, and plenty of LIV players have continued to play on other tours - the PGAT and DPWT were the two tours to impose sanctions on those LIV players of course - hence the reason some of them (like Sergio) terminated their memberships. It's clear now that it's beneficial to both player and tour if those sanctions aren't enforced on an ongoing basis - allowing the players to compete regularly on the DPWT - it will also help raise the profile of LIV when those players are present in European events. it's a win-win-win situation.

Players have always been allowed to play on the DP providing they pay fines - don’t believe the sanctions have changed which is why Garcia etc need to pay fines and fulfill a suspension period
And there hasn’t been any changes from the majors for next year in regards “top ten from LIV” etc
What is says imo is that outside the money LIV isn’t providing the players what they need

Seems like the Australians, Africans, Asians have been happy to play on their 'home' tours outside of the fixed schedule. The European situation has been a little more complicated - the DPWT have rightly kept the details behind closed doors but I'd be very surprised if the fines being issued now are equivalent to those initial set of fines (early 2023) which were unpalatable to some.

Solid round out in Honkers from the man in my Avatar - another sub 60 - there seems to have been quite a few this year.

Just saw a bit of the season finale on the LET.
They were talking about Helen Briem, who I hadn’t heard of.
She’s German, just turned 19 and 6ft 3”.
She lost a playoff in her first LET event in January playing as an amateur. She became world no1 amateur in June, she then won three consecutive Pro events as an amateur on the LET Access series.
She then turned Pro and won on her first start in the LET Access tour, then as a Pro won on her first start on the full LET Tour. She is 3rd on the driving stats on LET at 275 yards.
Currently in the lead on the season finale.
Seems like she is quite good.

The world has gone mad. Football, golf are just two examples. Players would still play both sports in their droves without the crazy amounts of cash being thrown about.
Realistically how much money does one person actually ever need in their lifes? Sure big houses cost to run but there must be a point where you can't spend any more in a year .. and it just collects interest forever until you die and the cycle repeats with your kids .

The last report I saw was $50mil - not bad for a tour that that made a loss of around $350mil
