It is funny. Given that about 90% of us in here slate Cantlay and his slow play, I think it is funny when a real life golfer also visibly shows his frustration.

Reed leaves LIV and will play the DPWT full time with a view to getting back on the PGAT from 2027...eligible to play on the PGAT from late August...

Thought this was a stick on listening to the way he spoke in his interviews last week about contract not signed, one thing about him is he seems to have travelled quite a lot for European tour events over the years

I played on the military courses in Cyprus for 4 years before moving on to Secret Valley as a Member

Watching Patrick Reed this morning and like or loath him he is a good watch.
His short game is excellent but his long game must be terrible as not seen him hit a fairway yet

Can't stand him me but his swing is class.
Brooks and P Reed making up with the PGA is interesting but not the death knell of LIV i don't think.
It would be a lot more telling if some of the international players like Nieman and co jumped back over and of course if Rahm or BDC leave

Bryson is the big one for them.
He has huge worldwide social media impact.
They will need to build the tour around him to survive I think a little like the PGA did with Tiger
I think he also knows that and will be looking for serious money which if they don’t pay will see the tour pretty much fold, or become a secondary/old mans tour.
One thing for sure Bryson could be looking at a pay day the likes of which have never been seen before

Can I just ask how many people attend or tune into a golf event to watch a specific player?

I think a lot will tune in to watch the last round in particularly if 2 bigger names are looking like they will compete.
I would have much more inclination to watch Rory vs Scottie all square going into the final round at the masters than say Siem vs Gooch.

I guess you would have to see the increase in viewing figures when Tiger was playing. I believe the answer certainly used to be quite a few.

Bryson is a draw, but any golf event is about the event more than an individual player, especially where LIV is concerned.
Anyway, he’s committed to LIV for 2026 - so he wont be playing on the PGAT until at least September 2027 according to the current (and probably subject to modification) PGAT rules.
