Problems with Adizero Shoes

People I have spoke to at the club and my college have had the same issues. My Pro that stocks them has had problems as well. I have heard a whisper that AG and DG have had loads of returns of them. Also been issues with the spikes coming away from the base of the shoe as well

Had 4 pairs of Adidas in 5 months last year all went at the heel. Switched to Nike and 9 months later those shoes still as soft as the day I bought them & no signs of any wear on the uppers or Insides at all. So much so bought some heritage just for winter and breaking out the Nike Dunks again this week just like new after wearing them to death last year. Won't buy Adidas again.

Totally agree with this and actually tweeted FJ to see if there was any way to be properly fitted like those picked by GM. Sadly they could only suggest going to my pro and trying shoes on.

Sounds like an excellent suggestion!

I always buy my shoes from our pro. I get expert advice, I can try the fitting, he'll order in what he doesn't have and it's easy to sort any problems. Good prices too but in any case well worth paying a bit more for that level of service.

I would prefer to use my pro but he only stocks a limited range of FJ and does not have that many pairs to try. When I mentioned the GM FJ experience I was not talking about custom fit shoes I was more thinking about the basics like the old machine to measure the best fit for you. As was mentioned in the write up, one of the people had been wearing the wrong size shoes for years and was better with a smaller size and a wide fitting rather than the bigger size he was buying. Also nice to get a bit of advice on what the benefits are on each model of shoe rather than just buying the ones I like the look of. Really just the sort of service that you can get in a decent shoe shop. I am sure that some pros and retailers offer this but none that I have been to.

Anyway, the saga of the Adizeros continues. The retailer has now asked that I send them back for further inspection but, rather worryingly, keeps coming out with the phrase 'normal wear and tear' and, apparently, Adidas keep mentioning that line as well. My fear is that they are going to look to pass this one off as normal wear to the heel despite only 2 rounds. Still, I am going to follow this one through to the end so we shall see what happens.
