Ive been watching the pro's on TV & when they show the slow motion the swing looks brilliant the way the body works to contact the ball
so i think thats it, on down swing get the hips forward follow through with swing
the problem for me now is I'm either turning to early with my hips or swinging to late not to sure but when i make contact the club face must be open I'm hitting 70% of my shots with a fade or straight but still going right of target

should i forget the moving of the hips forward & concentrate on my right hand turning over on impact to stop the ball from going right

i hope you can make sense of this rambling

any advise would be grateful ( I'm right handed) just trying to get rid of slice

Slow motion is the work of the devil, just like practice swings, every practice swing is perfect, if I could get someone to drop my ball in front of me just as I was doing a practice swing I could hit 400 yards in a straight line just like Steve.

If you're slicing a lot its very likely that you are starting your downswing with a shoulder turn Trying perhaps to give it the beans. A quick test next time you are down the range, swing back as normal but when as you start your downswing try to feel like your shoulders are locked/frozen and prevent them from unwinding straightaway. This should then enable the hands and arms to reverse direction without the shoulders throwing the club off line.

Of course your shoulders will unwind eventually but if you can just allow the hand and arms a slight headstart you should see the difference.
