OK you may have to change it depending on weather conditions and how good your tee shot is - but having any kind of plan is better than no plan at all.

I don't plan the 2nd shot, not even on the par 5s.
Thinking about my home, I use the same clubs on certain tees every time, regardless.

2 x 4 irons
1 x hybrid
2 x 5 woods
3 x 3 woods

that must leave 6 drivers (?!) both par 5s, 4 par 4s.

How can you plan a whole round when you only know for certain where you are going to hit your last shot?

The only shot you can plan for is the next one, anything beyond that is fantasy golf.

I will think about the round before I go out. Mainly which club I will take from each Tee then try and stick to it. Cos that works (not)...

I think about each shot as it happens. Not about how I got there cos I'm rubbish and that just winds me up, but where its going and how. Its working for me ATM so I'm not going to change it just yet
