Possible new Driver

I have been having a few lessons with my Pro of late to try and tidy up some parts of my game. And the swing change as bought more consistency to my irons and short game but my driver is all over the place (like watching the red arrows). Anyway I mensioned this to my pro and he suggested that I may find a benefit from changing my driver to something with a thicker shaft at the base than my Titleist 909D2.

As anyone else done this change in the past and have you noticed a benefit?

Another fan of the 09 Burner (Tour model). It is very solid and does the job for me. If I was in the market for a new big dog though my first port of call would be the G20 followed by the Cleveland SL290
