Poor Green care

Our club has opened itself up to a greater number of society golfers this year and I can only say that after following some of them round in the mid afternoon they have really made a mess of some of the greens.
On one occasion we played the par 3 third and there were pitch marks everywhere. Some of them you could have lost your ball in. We must have walked around the green and repaired at least a dozen each and held the next group up whilst we did it.
I know that these societies bring in a good amount of extra revenue throughout the year but I I bet they dont treat their own courses like this.

Mmm...can be a big problem especially this time of year when the greens get a bit softer.

Why not try this out...take a bucket of balls to the worst affected green and place a ball in each unrepaired pitch mark. Take a few artistic snaps and then you have a bit more visual evidence for the committee etc. Worth also placing the pictures in the locker room to remind members of their responsibilities!

Worth a shot!!

Now THAT is a top idea.

Played behind a junior medal yesterday, and had to mend about 5 on every green. Proper big ones too. Kids are just as bad as every one else.
