Please give us your insights - Golf Clothing Survey

Hi All,

Thank you very much for the overwhelming response so far to the survey, it has blown our expectations on the number of respondents out of the water.

In response to some of your questions the new brand is Spencer Paul. We will have a holding site up in the next two weeks with a view of launching May/June’13. We also have a twitter page live where you will be able to follow the story of our journey to launch and give us your thoughts – www.twitter.com/spencerpaulgolf

If ok with everyone, over the next couple of weeks/months I will post a couple of other links to engage with us (without bombarding you).

Although we are early in this journey we are excited about sharing our experiences of taking a concept through to a fully functional brand sharing the highs and lows throughout.

Once again thank you and happy golfing this weekend. I am playing at Pine Ridge in Camberley and hoping for a good round now we have a bit of sun.

Cheers

Ian

Seen your Facebook page too (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Spencer-Paul-Golf-Clothing/125973510910115). Your logo's a little bit IJP isn't it? That was the first thing that registered in my head when the page opened.

Hi,

Thank you for your comment, we conducted a lot of research around this and the feedback gave us enough to show it was different from anything else in the golf or lifestyle apparel market. With IJP the lines are broken where we have gone for a single continuous line to play on a modern shape of the integrated S&P, also the IJP logo is in the round with relation to the Ian Poulter Design text where we have gone for a simple text style underneath the logo. I completely see where you are coming from though as the first part of the logo could be viewed as looking like a J. We are currently in the process of trade marking the logo and the feedback from them so far has been the logo is unique.

Our aim is of course to be completely unique in everything we do so happy to share more insights on this as designing the logo took a lot longer than we were expecting.

Cheers

Ian

Top tip, for the trousers make the size 32s really 34 inches, 34s really 36 etc etc, like they do in the US. As that will make a lot of us bloaters feel a lot better about ourselves and more happily disposed to the brand.;)

Actually I forgot to put accuracy of sizing down as a factor. It does amuse me when you see the table in I think direct golfs mag, where it goes through what the actual sizes L or M refers to. And to see the difference. And when I buy some trousers in say 36 inches they seem to be anywhere between 34 and 38 inches depending on the brand.
