Just played the new course in East Kilbride today. Must admit I was very impressed with layout and condition. Has anyone played it yet if so what were your thoughts???
I have played twice and think it is expensive for what it is. If i remember are there not 5 par 3s over the 9 holes? In saying that couple of the holes are quite interesting. But still quite expensive.
If you base it on council run courses then I can see your point but i know when a non member comes to play my course( bishopbriggs) it costs them 30-40 per round, so on that basis its good value.
I have played it a couple of times, some nice holes (par 5 5th for one) It is overpriced at the moment or i would have played it more often. Broadlees in Chapelton is a more realisticly priced 9 holer and a decent track as well.
Within 10 mins of there you have 2 very nice council run course Torrance House and Langlands, I wouldnt touch the playsport place with a barge pole compared to those.
I've played it once and it was in good condition and quite enjoyable. Downside, slightly overpriced. Whilst driving by recently not very busy at all, may have to review their prices sooner rather than later.
They're seemingly doing a winter fourball offer for £40 and that include balls for the range. Might be better than a saturday afternoon watching the 'well
