Playing with strangers

I used to be terrible, I'd book myself in for a sunday comp and be more nervous about playing with people I didn't know than playing competitive golf. Not so much nowadays though as I know pretty much everyone at the club and have a bit more confidence, so now actually look forward to playing with different people.

Just go and have a bit of fun...if they're idiots then call it a day after 9.

I live Glossop way.
I played at Swinton a few weeks ago.
I've not joined a club yet as going to look into it next summer.
Usually go AG Trafford.

There are some decent clubs East of Manchester, I particularly like Denton.
Swinton Park is nearer to me than my own course but its not very friendly so I didn't joined there.

There are lots of opportunities to meet up with the North West contingent on here.
