I started playing golf again a couple of months ago after not playing for a couple of years at all. Got a really bad kidney problem and currently waiting for a new one! Had a few sessions at the range and joined my local course about three weeks ago. Despite not playing for so long I am actually playing really well, probably as well as ever. I'm pretty shocked by it to be honest. I just played 9 holes today with my old man walking round with the dogs in tow (probably illegal!) and shot one under gross. I think having the break from golf has really increased my enthusiasm and enjoyment of the game. Hope it continues :D

Nice play, keep it up. I think sometimes you put less pressure on yourself after a break, you expect to play badly so just relax, and hey presto you play well

Wow that is some good shooting.

I'm getting back after over a year off for health reasons and I've also been surprised that I am knocking it round as well as I am. Nothing special, mid 80's, with the course playing short but I think playing without expectations, and feeling glad just to be there, does clear your mind and free your swing.
