I would say whatever the situation the match should take priority, just polite!
If I was out on my own I would just work around them and let them get on with their game.
Saying that I would be happy to let a single (or even a 2 or 3) through if I was in a match if we were the only group, different story if we were part of 2 or 3 groups who were ahead though!
If it got inside my opponents head then all the better! Maybe that's gamesmanship but I would rather ALL golfers got to play at a decent pace and not just my group.
